A case of DAE_JA_VOO

Hello world!

For those of you who are following 27Degrees on Twitter or on Facebook, will know that last week, we posted a sneak peek at the latest addition to our ever growing list of brand ambassadors. Well this here serves as the official update on said “sneak peek”

His name is Ettienne Venter, also known as DAE_JA_VOO. Don’t worry, I’ma explain all this just now…

Ettienne is  a Pretoria-based skateboarder slash computer case modder (hence the wordplay in the title ). I can safely say I’ve known Ett for over 2-3 years now. And basically how we ended up knowing each other was through the internets… A bunch of fellow computer enthusiasts and I organised a “meet” (via PC Format forums) and we all met at an eatery in Pretoria over 2-3 years ago… long-story-short… a good time was had by all! Anyway, Ettienne Venter also goes by the pseudonym, DAE_JA_VOO. [Here’s a short history of the name]

What DAE does is basically build computers from scratch and make some significant modifications to them all at the same time. That’s pretty awesome. Check out his site over here – www.daejavoo.com. You can also follow his modding endeavours on Twitter – @DAE_JA_VOO.
